Requirement: Data Scientist

Work from home will be available on an optional basis.

Requirements:

• Degree or higher in computer science, data science, engineering or physics.
• Three years’ experience working in a related role.
• Hands-on experience on data science coding and languages such as Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, Jupyter Notebook).
• Experience in optimisation, data analytics, data visualisation and AWS services.
• Knowledge of machine-learning methods and statistical concepts such as: forecasting, segmentation and causal inference.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy machine learning models for forecasting and optimisation of energy demand and generation of distributed energy resources such as solar, wind, and energy storage.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the energy market.
• Employ ML approaches and advanced statistical procedures to obtain actionable insights and cross-validating models to ensure their generalizability.
• Perform data analytics, and ad hoc analysis using Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, Jupyter Notebook), SQL, Power BI, Auto-ML or other business intelligence software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders and support decision-making.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and the energy market.
